Drink of the Month “Charlie’s Ghost”

Charlie's Ghost
Charlie’s Ghost” White Chocolate Martini @ Merchants on Broadway
Merchant’s Restaurant opened in 1988 in what was the old Merchant’s Hotel, which was constructed in 1892. The original structure was a three-story building built around 1870. Merchant’s is said to be haunted by a ghost named Charlie. Charlie, a Confederate soldier that was in love with an employee that worked in the Merchant Hotel, whose name was Georgia. During the reconstruction of the old hotel, the owners had found letters buried in a fireplace, letters from Charlie to Georgia. To this day the letters from Charlie are still displayed around the restaurant and it is said that Charlie’s ghost still roams the building looking for his lost love Georgia. What once served “blood medicine” a mixture of alcohol and opium, Merchant’s restaurant is creating upscale and highlighted drinks for the Nashville Scene.
